This song started life as a collaboration between myself and my brothers in arms Jacinto and Tymoteusz under the Moniker "HATA". Admittedly I ran with it and didn't accept much help other than advice. This is no slight against them, mind you, HATA will continue life with other things. Something happened in the middle of creating this song, I was kind of stuck on it, revision after revision and I couldn't get it done, Thanksgiving was coming up so I took a break from it for a couple of days. I called my mother on Thanksgiving day to let her know I loved her but didn't get ahold of her so I left a message. I was told on the following Sunday that she had passed away Friday night. I buried myself in this song shortly after.

It's finished now and it's theme has changed into an expression of loss. It's the first song I've done with vocals. I'm not a vocalist by any means however it was something I needed to do. This is for her.

PHYLLIS MARIE NORTHCOTT of Florence AZ was born Jan.29, 1949 in Hays KS & lived many years in Alaska and Oklahoma.  Phyllis passed away Friday NOV 27 2009 in Mesa AZ. She was predeceased by parents John Benjamin Northcott & Eva Maxine Walker Northcott; 2 nephews Michael W. Rogers & Jeffrey L. Rogers; & is survived by: son Ryan N. Northcott (Corinna) & gr-daughter Justice of Austin TX; brother Johnnie M. Northcott of Wasilla AK; sister Benjean Northcott Rogers (Doyle) of Florence AZ; nephew Jim Rogers (Susan) of Everett WA; niece Michelle Rogers Boudry (Rob) & their daughters Ella & Isabel of DePere WI; Gr-niece Natasha Rogers Anthony (Corey) & their children: Kaleb, Jeremiah & Kyra of Billings MT; Gr-nephew Michael J. Rogers (Nadia) & their children Jaylen, Keaira & Lucas of Marysville WA.  Phyllis will be missed by many old friends in OK, AK & more recently in Vista Hermosa & Florence Gardens.  A delayed private memorial service is planned.  In lieu of flowers & remembrances donations can be made to Arizona Kidney Foundation (in her name), 4203 E.
